Every morning I wake up on

The wrong side of capitalism

Noam Chomsky hates the working class

Proof: He refuses to go to Burning Man.

You don’t think this is some kind of subtle viral marketing campaign from Burning Man, do you?  “If you have never been to Burningman, this year is the year to attend. Seriously consider spending some time with true potential,” which was in the original Indymedia post, sounds an awful lot like a PR agency came up with it.

  3. How does this prove that Chomsky ‘hates the working class’? Are you serious in this claim?

Either this is a very subtle joke, or a serious claim that’s so stupid it’s best taken as a joke.

  5. wm, if you don’t understand why the world-wide working class movement depends vitally on discussing 9/11 conspiracy theries at an arts festival in the desert, then I can’t help you.

  8. You’re right, SMB, the quality of pathetic views being spread on the internet is just not good enough. We need to ensure all views expressed on the internet are pathetic enough.

Internet ideas by the world, it won’t be hard to find info thats for sure… Hell people like me are always willing to help like this idea or your own hell you have the first chapter already . Chapter one -selfish people who like to push crappy ideas on unsuspecting minds- Were all guilty I know but it scares me who reads this stuff and may actually think you or I might be worth listening to. And christ what if people start learning grammer and spelling from people like us.. Ok so I am sorry never meant to attack you and I am assuming

  10. Hmm why did it add the tm and accents?

    Comment by SMB @ 9/1/2006 2:26 pm

  11. Yeah, I thought the Indymedia post was so crazy, it would be funny just presenting it without comment and running with the idea for a while. The tm’s and wierd symbols mean there’s something going wrong with the encoding between the site and your browser (”smart quotes” sometimes show up as wierd characters). It usually works OK (your comment looks fine on my browser, for instance), so maybe have a look at your “font” or “character encoding” settings?
